Do you have any Labor Day plans yet? I know I’m sad to see the summer end, but I’m not letting it end for me just yet! I want to make the most of what’s left of summer, and here are some great ways to do that:
1. Have a picnic:
Eating outdoors is so summery and fun. And a picnic is a really easy way to enjoy that, so pack up a basket and head to the park. You actually don’t even have to go anywhere to enjoy a picnic; spread out a blanket and picnic in your own backyard!
2. Take a short road trip:
Here’s another one where you don’t have to go far. Take a day trip, or even just a quick ride to the next town, and walk around like tourists. And don’t forget the fun snacks for the car!
3. Go to the beach or pool:
Yup- get in the last few beach or pool days while you can!
4. Go for ice cream:
Of course you can eat ice cream all year round, but a trip to the ice cream store while the weather is still warm is different, somehow.
5. Go to the farmer’s market:
Take the family to the farmer’s market to enjoy the last of local summer produce. Then go home and cook a meal with your finds.
6. Go to a pick-your-own farm:
This is a great end of summer activity for kids because it’s fun and it’s a good lesson on where our food comes from.
7. Read outside:
Grab a good book and some lemonade, and get comfortable in a hammock or lounge chair.
Make the most of the last days of summer, and get ready for a fabulous fall!
